MEET THE TEAM
JANETT MENDEZ
PRODUCER
Janett is currently completing her Bachelors at CSUN in Television Production. She has been ambitiously active in the Entertainment Industry for the past 5 years, where she started as a Production Assistant on various Short Films, TV Pilots, and Feature Films. Since then she has moved up as a Creative Development Intern in various companies in Hollywood, being highly exposed to Development and Preproduction. She has been actively involved in Television Societies and Organization in Hollywood, including the Academy Gold Program and JHRTS. She has Produced, Directed, Edited, and filmed numerous of projects, some including her own that have won awards and have been recognized at Film Festivals. Her goal is to become a Producer in the near future.
BRANDON PATRICIO
PRODUCER
Brandon Fareed Patricio is a filmmaker majoring in CTVA Production at California State University, Northridge. Although, he spends much of his time traveling around and trying new food, he have always had a passion for what’s behind the camera since he was a little kid.
But, It wasn’t until he bought his first smart phone, and computer that he became interested in visual storytelling. Ever since, his passion for portraying powerful messages through digital film has continued.
Taking the knowledge he has learned from Cinema and Television Arts, along with his experiences from being an outdoor guy, had helped him put his skills into practice. He has written, shot, directed, edited, and produced several short films and short documentaries for almost 4 years.
Over the last year, and following the advise of Italian Producer, Alessandro Jacchia. He has gained a blast of knowledge on how to make films work on a tight budget. Now, Brandon is co-producing along with Janett Mendez this ambitious short film titled THE LAST HOPE.
DESIREÉ RAMOS
DIRECTOR
Desireé Ramos is multifaceted in the film industry. She started off as an actress and is known for Only Children, Hot Seat, and Ready Set Style with Chloe Lukasiak. Venturing off into the directing field she is known for Like Mother Like Daughter, Girlfriends Visit, and The Choices We Make. Desireé is currently getting her bachelors in Cinema-Television and Arts at CSUN and continuing to make her mark on the industry. Her goal is not only to become a well-known Actress and Director but an impactful one, in the industry and the world as a whole.

Anna is very proud to say this is her last semester of studying Television Production at CSUN. She has learned so much from this program and she is very thankful for the opportunities she has gained from it.
JOEL WICECARVER
DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY
Joel comes from a multicultural background filled with many fantastic and unique experiences that have let me experience the world. Ever since transferring to CSUN my knowledge and passion for cinema and television has experienced non-stop growth. He has gotten the chance to direct, write, and produce both school and personal projects that further developed his in front and behind the camera work. His passion is to create images that evoke conversation and attention. He’s excited to be working as the cinematographer for ‘The Last Hope’. Joel’s goal is to become an expert in every facet of the filmmaking process and be involved in every step of production from pre-pro, to shooting, and through post production.
EMMA REAL
EDITOR
Emma is the Editor on this project. She's experienced in editing, directing and writing when it comes to production. She has directed and written short films, as well as contributed to other scripts for her fellow peers. Eventually, Emma wants to work in a TV Studio as an editor or even a master control operator, and hopes to start as a PA very soon!
SHIRIN RAJA
PRODUCTION DESIGNER
Shirin is the co-production designer for 'The Last Hope'. She has about 4-5 years experience with television production, having tapped into pre-production and production the most, including being production design on a number of those projects (i.e. a couple episodes on a series project).
She is an aspiring to become a casting director in the near future, that is her ultimate goal she is aiming for. Having work on these projects from the very beginning up until today has been a rewarding and enjoyable experience, getting to learn a little about every aspect of what goes into television and film projects and nothing makes her happier than being a part of something so big that turns ideas and dreams into an actual world of the stories being told.
MEGAN WISSNER
PRODUCTION DESIGNER
Megan Wissner has been immersed in the entertainment business her whole life. With her family being in casting, she has met many actors along the way and has known that she wanted to work with actors and do something in the entertainment business. Her main focus however, is in production design. She loves coming up with design ideas and loves that those ideas bring the story to life. She has done production design in other CSUN productions and is so excited to be a co-production designer on this project.
